Hire A Nanny

Placement fees

Full-Time Nanny Placement (30+ hours/week):

  • Standard: 6% of nanny’s annual salary, $2,750 minimum, 30-day replacement

  • Essential: 8% of nanny’s annual salary, $3,750 minimum, 60-day replacement, 5 days of Backup Care included

  • Premier: 10% of nanny’s annual salary, $4,750 minimum, 90-day replacement, 10 days of Backup Care included

Part-Time Nanny Placement (Less than 30 hours/week):

  • 12% of nanny’s annual salary, $1,500 minimum, 30-day replacement

Short-Term Nanny Placement (16 weeks or less): 

  • $1,500 flat fee

Nanny Share Placement

  • 10% of nanny’s annual salary (split between 2 families), $3,250 minimum for each family, 30-day replacement

Frequently Asked Questions

  • In a nanny share, a single nanny provides care for two families at the same time. Placement costs are split between families. Nannies are typically paid 2/3 of their usual hourly rate from each family.

  • The agency fee is a one-time fee for each nanny placement, paid before the nanny starts working for your family.

  • Yes, after the candidate interviews, let me know who you would like to schedule a trial session with. You will pay the caregiver directly at the end of the trial session.

  • Fantastic Sitters provides the best candidates by selecting nannies to fit your family’s needs, and connecting you with the ones who are excited to meet you! I strive to find an ideal nanny for your family as quickly as possible. A 4-6 week time frame is typical, but I may be able to match someone sooner.

  • All of the caregiver candidates undergo a rigorous screening process involving personal interviews, verified reference checks, and comprehensive background checks. All of the nanny candidates have a minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience, and are CPR and First Aid Certified.

  • Nanny rates vary depending on experience and the details of your position. Rates of $25-35/hour are typical in Connecticut for experienced nannies.

  • Fantastic Sitters takes careful steps throughout the recruiting and placement process to make sure it is a great fit for both families and the caregiver. In the rare event that it doesn’t work out, a replacement will be found within the period of your chosen placement package.
